Balloon Aloft Fiesta 2025
The Balloon Aloft Hunter Valley Fiesta is back for 2025 and this year it’s all about Balloons & Bubbles!
Join us from 3rd -6th October for the iconic four-day Hunter Valley balloon fiesta – an incredible display of colourful hot air balloons flying over the region at sunrise, each morning of the Long Weekend.
The event features approximately 20-30 hot air balloons taking off at dawn each morning, filling the skies with colour, energy and excitement.
The 2025 balloon fiesta is a great opportunity to experience the beauty of the Hunter Valley from a new perspective. Guests will have the opportunity to blow bubbles during the flights, then enjoy a bubbly breakfast at Peterson House Winery after their flight.

HOW TO BE A PART OF THE BALLOON FIESTA AS A PASSENGER
The best way to view the hot air balloon festival is definitely as passengers on board one of the balloons that will take to the skies at sunrise each morning. The excitement begins just before dawn as up to thirty hot air balloons inflate in the launch field.
The hot air balloon fiesta is quite the spectacle, so make sure to have your camera ready. Following take-off, you’ll drift over the Hunter Valley vineyards for an hour in the company of this magnificent fleet of hot air balloons. Passengers will be supplied with bubble blowers to add to the magic and blow bubbles during the flight. Celebrations continue after the flight back at Peterson House Winery with live music, a gourmet breakfast and a sparkling wine tasting to wrap up an exciting and fun-filled morning.

HOW TO BE A PART OF THE BALLOON FIESTA AS A SPECTATOR
Want to watch the spectacle from the ground? Meet up with our Event Team at the meeting Point (likely to fall between 4:30-5:30am) each morning (weather permitting). Follow along in your own vehicle to the mornings launch site to watch as the balloons are inflated a launch at sunrise.
