Nickelodeon launches the BABY SHARK balloon float at the 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

If you’ve finally got the Baby Shark earworm out of your head, you might want to skip watching Macy’s 96th Annual Thanksgiving Parade, because Nickelodeon has announced that it will be releasing a special Baby Shark balloon float this year.

Nickelodeon and The Pinkfong Company will celebrate this Thanksgiving with an all-new floating balloon hybrid item, featuring characters from the globally acclaimed preschool property Baby Shark, which will debut at 96e Macy’s Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade®. The 18-foot-long float will feature an underwater seascape that includes members of the shark family, as well as starfish and various species of anemones. Behind the float on parade day, a 25-foot-long, larger-than-life Baby Shark balloon will soar through the streets of New York City with a lift of approximately 100 pounds.

Baby Shark is the newest addition to Nickelodeon’s roster of iconic franchises featured in the annual extravaganza, including the return of the Blues Clues & you! float and Sponge Bob SquarePants, paw patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment) and The Smurfs Balloons.

Nickelodeon’s playful pup Blue will return to the annual holiday parade with an updated look that features a 22-foot-tall Blue wearing an “I ‘Paw’ New York” t-shirt, atop a float inspired by the brand appearance. -New Blue’s clues and you! film, Blue’s adventure in the big city, which follows Josh and Blue as they travel to New York to audition for a major Broadway musical. Featuring all-new original songs and choreography, the Nickelodeon Animation-produced musical spectacle will premiere November 18, exclusively on Paramount+.

The 96e Macy’s Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade will also feature fan-favorite Nickelodeon elements: Sponge Bob SquarePantswith his 18e appearance in the parade, taking flight again with his pet snail Gary in tow; paw patrolThe Chase character balloon, showing the citizens of New York that “Chase is on the case!” and Papa Smurf, who will once again take to the New York skyline to help viewers smurf the holiday cheer.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air nationwide on NBC and air on Peacock, Thursday, November 24, 2022, from 9 a.m. to noon in all time zones.

On Tuesday, October 18, an all-new special Halloween episode of Baby Shark’s Big Show! “The Goblin/Baby Super Shark Treat” will premiere at 11:00 a.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.
