Galway medical device company announces major expansion

ICS Medical Devices, a leading provider of catheter design and manufacturing services, announced this week a significant expansion of its operations in Ballybrit, Galway. The company moves into a new 16,000 square foot manufacturing facility, doubling its current footprint to enable continued business growth and the creation of new employment opportunities.

ICS Medical Devices works with innovative medical device start-ups to develop niche and breakthrough catheter technologies for minimally invasive medicine. As part of the expansion and move to its new facilities, ICS Medical Devices is adding extensive general manufacturing space and an additional 2,200 square feet of Class 8 cleanroom capacity. ICS Medical also plans to add new technologies supporting its catheter capabilities and is building a customer innovation center.

The company plans to officially open its new facilities in the fall.
