Arizona Balloon Classic returns for the 11th year this month at Goodyear

PHOENIX – The annual Arizona Balloon Classic will return for its 11th year later this month at Goodyear Ballpark.

The event will host performances and activities from January 28-30.

Tickets are available online, and one dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to Valley of the Sun United Way, this year’s community partner.

Children 12 and under, active duty military, first responders and veterans can attend for free.

Hot air balloon shows will take place on Friday evening, Saturday dawn and dusk and Sunday morning, according to a statement.

The first and last shows will be different.

The Arizona Balloon Classic, “Hare and Hound” races from the field, will take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The Friday night show is “Desert Glow,” a captive, illuminated show set to music.

Saturday evening will feature the parade of pilots followed by fireworks.

Other activities include the Desert Wind Kite Festival, hot air balloon rides, stunt bike shows, the Taste of the Classic dining experience, and live music.
